Generally speaking, the damage to the LED power supply and driver comes from the over-voltage shock (EOS) of the input power supply and the open circuit fault at the load end. First of all, the over-current impact of the input power supply is likely to cause damage to the drive chip in the drive circuit, and breakdown and damage to passive components such as capacitors. The short-circuit fault at the load end can easily cause over-current driving of the drive circuit, resulting in short-circuit damage to the drive circuit or overheating damage caused by the short-circuit fault.
